1 vanilla beans
4 cups superfine, caster, or standard granulated sugar
Pour sugar into a bowl.
Split vanilla bean and scrape seeds into sugar.
Stir sugar to distribute seeds throughout sugar.
Pour into an airtight container with additional space to allow for period shaking during curing process.
Bury the split vanilla bean into the sugar.
Let cure for 3 weeks* before use, shake container at least once a week
*NOTE: I often use this on day one after making it, but it will have the best flavor after 3 weeks.
