Poached Chicken Breasts

This simple poaching method delivers succulent chicken breast meat that can be enjoyed simply or used in many recipes.


2 boneless, skinless Chicken Breast Halves (one whole breast)

1 whole Bay Leaf

1 teaspoon Peppercorns, whole or rough cracked

4 teaspoons Chicken Powder

4 Cups Water


  • Add chicken, bay leaf, peppercorns, chicken powder and water to a pot.

  • Bring to boil and immediately reduce to a simmer.

  • Simmer 20 minutes.

  • Cut heat and cover.

  • Once cooled to room temperature, use immediately or transfer to lidded container and store refrigerated until future use.
