Ingredients
1 cup Sugar
1 cup Red Wine
2 whole Star Anise
2 cups Cherries, halved and pitted
Preparation
Add the sugar, wine and star anise to a saucepan over medium heat.
Stir until sugar is dissolved and syrup begins to boil.
Cut the heat, add in the cherries.
Once cooled to room temperature, transfer to lidded container and store refrigerated.
